Dear Friends and Great Souls I have been in America for the last 4 weeks learning how to teach Ananda Yoga - and WOW - I am really keen to share what I have learned. Unfortunately (but fortunately for you) I have already promoted the Introduction to Ananda Yoga as a 6 weeks' course at only £25. So I am sticking with that price for the first 6 week course. It will not be offered at this price again. I believe a more realistic price is £50. The benefits of the information and techniques I will be sharing are invaluable - including : How to increase your levels of energy and concentration. How to develop a body that feels alive and energised in every cell How you can regulate your weight How you can improve your blood pressure Exercises you can use for your healing And much more.... And that is only on the first evening!!! Other subjects covered over the 6 evenings will include: Pranayama - using breath for energising or calming Becoming more aware of the energy in your body Affirmations to maximise the beneficial effects of the Yoga postures Bringing energy into your spine and to the brain and 3rd eye Techniques to enhance your meditation and enjoy it more than ever And, above all, how to bring Joy to the whole process of yoga and meditation - - and LIFE. You will realise that this is much more than just an exercise class. Ananda Yoga has been called the "airplane route to Enlightenment". You can now discover "why" with the only Ananda Yoga teacher in Scotland. There are 6 places on this course so book early to make sure of your place. For a number of reasons I have put back the starting date to 23rd March. See below for dates and booking information. And so I learned many lessons whilst in America (outwith the classes). The first weekend I was sharing a smallish room with a young man called Logan - a 6foot 2inch gentle giant. Quite a restless sleeper - even his bottom fitted sheet somehow came off the mattress by the morning. I noticed also that it was a bit smelly in the room since his arrival - and thought that maybe he was detoxing - or maybe just clatty because he wasn't very tidy either. The smell was a bit stronger the next day but since he was leaving that day I wasn't too concerned. However the smell still lingered the day after his departure even though I'd opened the windows to air the room. Well, it was only when I went on the "Smell Hunt" that I discovered the source - my half-dried stinky face cloth hanging over a rail. OOPS! So Logan was probably thinking how smelly I was. Who knows? I had a good laugh about it anyway. And then there was the door! I was trying to open the porch door to go across to class (6.30am this!!! so perhaps I was still half asleep) and even though I was pulling quite hard it wouldn't open - it was jammed. The harder I pulled the less it moved. And there's always this slightly alarming feeling of "Oh I'm stuck here how can I get out?" - a feeling of being trapped. And you've probably guessed immediately what took me a few minutes to discover - that the door opened outwards. Do you ever do things like that? I'd love to hear your story. Or is it just me? The truth is that it is often our misunderstandings (of situations and of each other) and misperceptions that create difficulties in our lives. Don't you think? Much Love Stan |
