Well here is my second attempt to produce an e-letter to let you know what is happening here at Newlands Cottage. My first 3 hours work went down into the ethernet black hole when my computer crashed -and I hadn't saved my work. Funnily enough a little voice in my head had earlier said to save my work - and I didn't. However, before I tell you about the punctured tyre in the ride -on lawnmower I must just thank all those wonderful people who have been holding workshops here - Marion Voy, Lorraine Kenyon, Ann McGuiness, Neil, and the firewalkers Jane and Helen. There have been some lovely people coming through the doors - drawn by 1st class workshop leaders. A big thank you to you all. And to the participants as well. In EFT classes people have been so open and sharing that deep and long-standing issues have been exorcised. It's such a simple yet powerful process. Next EFT workshop will be July 30th. A few notices for you: My speedy, economical and ultra-reliable high mileage L registration Volvo is for sale. MOT till May 2006. £300. I intended to keep it another few years but my son has left for his world tour and I have inherited his car. Louise has a house to let in St Andrews for the Open golf week. Sleeps 6. At £600 for the week it is less than half what many people are asking. We now host a monthly Reiki Share evening on the first Tuesday every month. Depending on numbers we may run this fortnightly. Louise now has more free time and so will be available to see clients. She is blessed with deep insight and understanding. As well as delivering profound healing she also helps people understand the higher spiritual nature of their processes. A unique talent as many people will testify. Of course I am always available to offer treatment with Kinesiology, food sensitivity testing, EFT and Bowen Therapy. *************************************************************** And so to the lawn mower. It had a puncture and the grass was getting very long. I had pumped it up again and said a prayer - but it still went flat again. And so I had to take off the wheel - but couldn't see how. You see it's not like a car tyre where you just undo a few nuts. Well I jacked it up and I looked at it -and prised off the plastic hub cap cover. So far so good. But then I was faced with a strange kind of circular nut with a wedge in it. I couldn't see too clearly because it was a bit dark in the shed. I borrowed the neighbour's socket set but couldn't find a socket to fit the nut. Then using a torch I saw there was a circlip on the hub and prised it off along with a washer. But I still couldn't figure out how to undo the nut to release the wheel. After fruitless banging and shaking I gave up, feeling pretty frustrated and helpless. Another trip to the neighbour's and Archie said he'd come over (he's a lorry driver/mechanic and knows about these things). 10 minutes later Archie arrived and we went to have a look at the offending machine. Bending down Archie took the wheel in both hands and slid it gently towards him off the axle!!!! There was no nut - just the clip which I had removed. I had been trying to undo the axle!! To cut a long story short we eventually got an inner tube and now the wheel is just waiting for me to put it back on again - which I would have done today if the computer hadn't crashed. Which is where we started. Yes we go round in circles - just like wheels. But isn't it interesting how we sometimes make life so much more difficult than it really is. We create an illusion of "how it is" when the reality can be something very different. Sadly, today in London, people have been murdered and injured by the four bombs that went off. There is no rational, reasonable explanation for this atrocity, as there was none for the 9/11 disaster. I invite you - if it is your way - to say a prayer for the dead, the injured and their families and friends. And also to pray for Peace in the world. And the only way to create Peace in the world is for each and every one of us to hold Peace in our hearts - for all beings. Anger and hatred only reap more anger and hatred. Ghandi was a true leader and warrior when he showed that the way to bring about Peace was to BE PEACE-FULL. AND SO MAY PEACE BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES NOW AND ALWAYS. OM SHANTI Stan |
