"Affirm, even in the midst of trials: 'Danger and I were born together, and I am more dangerous than danger!'"

Dear Friends, Great Souls,

It seems I haven't had much time for emailing news recently, althoughthere's been plenty going on.  While I was in California at the ExpandingLight I was going on home hospice visits with Eliza one of the hospice nurses - and also a disciple of Yogananda.  What amazing experiences we had, seeing people courageously facing the dying process, the ultimate challenge.  And especially seeing them come to a point of peace of "letting go", when they stopped needing to cling to control of what was  happening.  And we saw their relatives being unconditionally and lovingly supportive.  We had one experience where both me and Eliza AND the patient too, felt the presence of God and the Masters. Such Peace!!  One question... Why do some people wait until they are dying to let go?  Why not let go today if you have not already done so.  As far as I can see, when you really think about it, we are in control of absolutely nothing - even though we might try and kid ourselves on that we are in control. Peace is here, now - and all we need to do is relax, "let go", and trust. Try it. Take a deep breath in.  Exhale...and as you exhale just think "letting go".

I saw a few clients at Expanding Light working with the KarmaClear process that I offer -and that is when I most feel the presence of the Masters.  I try to just get out of the way and let them work through me. And it just seems to get better and better.  Last time I was there, in autumn 2006, I taught Pushpa - one of the therapists - EFT and the KarmaClear process.  Pushpa is her spiritual name and it means "flower" -and she is a photographer too -and takes beautiful pictures of - you've guessed - flowers.  Pushpa has studied many modalities and is particularly gifted with EFT.  My very painful shoulder problem of 3 months was 90% resolved
overnight after a brief EFT session in which Pushpa brought up the subject of "being stuck" and "choosing which path".  I felt a big energy shift as we went through the tapping process. (You can find loads of info on EFT at www.emofree.com)

We played with EFT quite a lot and I have been tapping through the chakras regularly and finding that big shifts can happen even when there is no particular focus. You might like to try it.  As you tap at each of the chakras make the statement "Even though I have problems I deeply and completely love and accept myself" .  Do this regularly - 2 or 3 times a day or more, and notice the results.  It's especially good before going to bed -it helps you get a good night's sleep.  We also worked with the wrist and ankle tapping points where a number of meridians pass -and doing this regularly has reduced the swelling around my left foot (swelling due to a previously broken and bone-grafted ankle)

But because Pushpa also knew the KarmaClear process we were able to work through some major blocks with each other -especially in relation to the spiritual path. For example, how do you respond energetically or emotionally to the statement "God is in me"?  Is your initial reaction (provided of course that you have a concept of God in your world) -"Oh no I don't think so.  Maybe in others but not in me"?  Or is your reaction "Yes  I feel that's right.  Isn't it great."  If possible get someone to muscle test you on the statement "God is in me". Or even on the statement "I want to know God".  I have tested people who are well down the spiritual path and, surprise surprise, they often muscle test negatively for these statements - perhaps because of some painful past life experiences or present life parental or societal indoctrination or conditioning. If any of you would like to experience the KarmaClear process let me know and we can arrange a session. Cost is £50

For a few years now I have been working in prayer and meditation, and in firewalks and other workshops, on letting go of control, and surrendering to the Divine will.  And I know there have been big changes in my attitudes.  So recently I had become aware of my attachment to body and health -which is an attachment no less than the attachment to money, success, freedom, work, a relationship or anything else.  The point is, do you trust Divine Mother/God/Higher Power etc to take you on the path for your highest good - which may include being unwell.  It's not that you have to be unwell to follow a spiritual path - far from it.  But to have absolute trust in your God you must trust Him to know what is best for you. And in the yogic path , which is my way, but also on other paths, illness may be a necessary part of spiritual progression. It is not a question of whether you are well or ill, it is a question of whether you are attached to being well (or for that matter to being ill).  Desire and attachment is ego driven. Attachment to anything or anyone can hold us back spiritually.

So, as far as I can see, the most desirable state we can hold spiritually is neither to want to be well, nor to want to be not well. Ideally, from the spiritual perspective, we would view either state with impartiality, not being attached to the body - which is after all only a temporary residence for the spirit or the soul.  And it is the liberation of the soul which is the ultimate goal. Ultimately the aim is to let go of our Ego and so become free - free of the ego need to be in control, free of attachment to money, success and even to our own body.  And you know, those great saints who did suffer physical hardships, say like St Francis of Assisi, were nevertheless full of Joy.  For that is the mark of such a path - that, no matter what happens in our lives, we become more and more joyful as we let go of our egoic attachment.  So do you choose attachment or joy?

AND
I am volunteering at Lendrick Lodge during the Sundoor Firewalk Initiation week 8th to 15th August.  Sundoor is my second spiritual family and I believe that Peggy Dylan is one of the finest teachers in the world today. She teaches from her soul. If you feel drawn to the Firewalking process then sign up for this week -see www.lendricklodge.com or tel 01877 376263

Also there is a public firewalk on 18th August which Peggy will be leading.  Get there if you can. Arrive 6pm.  Cost £45.  I have often said that firewalking is the best healing and transformational therapy £ for £.  Try it! It's a bargain. And it's FUN!!  Tel 01877 376263

Well that's all my news for now.  After Lendrick I will be in Italy for a week then in the UK from 23rd Aug to 30th Sept.  I hope to see many of you during those weeks.

Love and Peace
In divine friendship
Stan
