Thanks to all those who joined us for the New Year Firewalk - it was great to see some familiar faces and to see some new ones also.  And we have had some amazing feedback eg "I have never experienced a fire like it - -the tremendous flames---  It was a powerful fire and a powerful workshop".   I know that 2005 will be a year of great change for us all and we wish you all a Joyful, Healthy and Successful Year.  For us this is the year that we become established as the Optimum Health Centre.

An interesting start to the Xmas period for us when on the 23rd December at 8.30am our neighbour phoned to say our trampoline was on their roof.  Not so funny when you consider this is a 14 foot diameter VERY HEAVY trampoline.  The gale-force winds had uprooted the trampoline and it must have "taken off" - clipping the edge of our roof and dislodging a few slates, before flying off over our roof into the air and crash landing on the neighbours roof, breaking through a few tiles and and through the woodwork where it was well and truly stuck. So you may be able to picture Louise and I spending a damp, windy morning dismantling the trampoline on their roof and making a temporary repair to the roof until we can organise a proper repair.  How fortunate that we have understanding neighbours. We knew from the start how lucky we had been.  The trampoline sat in the garden just outside the patio doors and, with the prevailing westerly wind, it could have come straight through the patio doors into the workshop / yoga /  meditation room causing untold damage.  Moreover, had it not jammed on our neighbour's roof it could have gone into their garden, trashed a few cars and carried on up the road wreaking havoc all the way.....

In the same week we rectified a problem with one of the internal doors.  You see, for some time we had been aware that even though we fully rotated the door handle the latch would not fully retract and it tended to catch on the striker plate.  So this time, when the door didn't open properly Louise put her shoulder to it.  The door crashed open and the door bell chime fell off the wall and broke.  So now we don't have a ding-dong bell - we only get a "dong".

Around the same time I finally fixed the sink.  Ever since we moved here the sink didn't drain properly and it would sometimes block.  We usally managed to clear it by using the amazing yellow sink syringe - a length of yellow concertina plastic filled with hot water.  And at last I got fed up with this and did something about it.

It doesn't take a lot to keep things flowing easily and smoothly. If we had anchored the trampoline it wouldn't have taken off.  We applied some WD40 to the door mechanism and "Hey Presto" - it is brand new, and we oiled all the other latches too and it really makes a difference.  And since I undid the U-bend under the sink and removed the (stone age) chicken bones from it the water has ben draining just fine.

Life's a bit like that isn't it?  If we take a few simple precautions, do a little maintenance from time to time, and treat minor problems before they become major problems, our lives can flow more easily and joyfully.  Whether you want a drop of WD40 or a major overhaul - we would love to help you get your life flowing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  Give us a call.  We are here to help you in any way we can whether with a treatment or simply with a chat and a cup of tea.  You are always welcome here.

With Love

Stan
